Each trap is made one at a time by hand. No two traps are exactly alike, although consistency is a goal during the building process.  You can be certain however that each trap will catch fish.  I won't sell it if I personally wouldn't use it.  

If you are not satisfied with your traps for any reason, please contact me and give me a chance to address your concerns. 

If you are not thrilled to be using the best trap you can buy, return the trap(s) within 30 days of purchase and I will issue a refund. Just return the trap(s) in saleable condition, and I will issue a refund minus shipping and PayPal fees (~3.5%). 

Traps that have been branded with names (or a special phrase) cannot be returned.

Change Fees

Requests to change your order after it has been placed will result in a change fee. If you are unsure about about something concerning your order, please contact me via email (mainedog@forestcitytraps.com) prior to placing your order. The amount of the change fee depends upon the requested changes.

I know accidents happen.  Forest City Traps are some of the toughest you will find anywhere. If by chance you do break  something, contact me via email (mainedog@forestcitytraps.com) and I will work with you to get it repaired and back in action ASAP. 

I have been making these traps for quite a while, and I try to make them better each year.  The basic design has not changed.  Occasionally I will tweak a bit here, try something new there...I keep the design constant throughout a season, and then work on improvements during the off season (kind of like an automobile company).  A new type of trap (H-style); new flag guide and blaze orange flags, velcro flag holder, aluminum studs to mount the spring to the mast and the flag wire to the spring, and adding a second flag, reflective flags are some of the improvements over the years, some suggestions coming directly from customers.
