Each custom ice fishing trap is made one at a time by hand. No two traps are exactly alike, although consistency is a goal during the building process. You can be certain, however, that each trap will catch fish. I won't sell it if I personally wouldn't use it.
If you are not satisfied with your traps for any reason, please contact me, and give me a chance to address your concerns. With our satisfaction guarantee, you can rest assured that your experience matters.
If you are not thrilled to be using the best trap you can buy, return the trap(s) within 30 days of purchase, and I will issue a refund. Just return the trap(s) in saleable condition, and I will issue a refund minus shipping and PayPal fees.
Please note that traps that have been custom branded cannot be returned.
Change Fees
Requests to change your order after it has been placed will result in a change fee. If you are unsure about something concerning your order, including custom ice fishing traps, please contact me via email (mainedog@forestcitytraps.com) prior to placing your order. The amount of the change fee depends upon the requested changes.

I have been making custom ice fishing traps for quite a while, and I strive to enhance them each year. The basic design has not changed, but occasionally I will tweak a bit here and try something new there. I keep the design constant throughout a season and then focus on improvements during the off-season (kind of like an automobile company). Over the years, I've introduced a new type of trap (H-style), a new flag guide with blaze orange flags, a velcro flag holder, aluminum studs to mount the spring to the mast and the flag wire to the spring, and I've added a second flag with reflective properties. Many of these enhancements have come from customer suggestions. I always appreciate feedback.
